DayZ map of Chernarus

 

Chernarus

The original map for DayZ that spans approximately 225 square kilometers of open world terrain. Chernarus is most known for it’s forests, large cities and villages, military bases, and airports throughout the map. You will spawn on the southern coast and work your way to the larger cities like Electro/Cherno and find better loot as you work your way north. I will go into detail about what you should do when you spawn at different across the map.

Pros

  • Huge map
  • Lots of small villages/towns to loot safely
  • Dense pine forests which are great places for a campsite to store items/vehicles

Cons

  • The amount of running it takes to go north
  • Loot spawns in the south
  • PVP in big cities

Loot Map for Chernarus

Spawn Locations from west to east along the Chernarus coast

 Kamenka

If you spawn in Kamenka you should either do one of two things.

  1. Kill yourself
  2. Let zombies kill you
  3. Run north to Pavlovo to Zelengorsk

Komarovo

  1. Run east to Balota Airfield/Medical Tents 
  2. Then run to Chernogorsk and hope you don’t get sniped
  3. Group up with some fresh spawns and head north

Balota

  1. Loot the Airfield/Medical Tents
  2. Work your way to Chernogorsk or head immediately north once you have a weapon
  3. Head north west to Green Mountain and then NW airfield
  4. Head north east to Starry Sobor/Novy to get stronger guns and a backpack

Chernogorsk

  1. Loot the apartment buildings/churches for starter gear
  2. If you are a risk taker head to either fire station and pray for a stronger weapon
  3. Go to the grocery store or school house and grab some food/drinks for your journey ahead
  4. Go to the hospital and grab some morphine, pain killers, and a blood bag or two for future travels
  5. Head directly north and head to Starry Sobor

Prigorodky

  1. Loot the surrounding barns for a quick weapon such as a rifle, shotgun, or crossbow
  2. Head west for Chernogorsk or east for Electro
  3. Head directly north and head to Starry Sobor
  4. Stop by Moglievka and pick up some supplies for the road ahead

Elektrozavodsk

  1. Run out of the city immediately
  2. Run north to Starry Sobor
  3. Run up the eastern coastline to Berezino and have some fun in the large city
  4. Have some real fun and head to Devil’s Castle with a large group at night

Kamyshovo

  1. Head west to Elektro
  2. Head east up the coast to Berezino and Solnichiny and loot the surroundings
  3. look around for some quick food items in the warehouses

Solnichiny

  1. Loot the surrounding town for supplies and possibly a weak hand gun
  2. Head north the Berezino and loot the grocery store and apartments for a weapon and backpack
