Well Besides the fact that in Arma 2 Dayz they are brain dead walking corpses, how are they smart enough to open doors and kill victims has always been a struggle for me to comprehend. I think it is their primal nature and instincts that still somewhat exist somewhere in that old brain. Arma 2 Dayz has made zombies a tough adversary to understand.
I can see all of the great possibilities that a door barricading system could provide, but I also see the possible negative effects. The positives in this case would definitely outweigh the negatives and could be a great implementation into Arma 2 DayZ. In Nazi Zombies the zombies are not intelligent, they are thrashing animalistic creatures who are hungry and will do anything to get their fill of BRAINSSSS. In Arma 2 DayZ and the Standalone release Doors should slow down zombies. I can see a sturdy door holding a zombie horde at bay for at least thirty seconds to a minute. One zombie could possibly be slowed down by a door for almost three minutes. So if doors need to be broken down instead of opened then the Door Barricade would be in vain or would it? People can still open doors and that poses a threat to any survivor who is wounded or bleeding and needs to bandage or heal one’s ally. I can already see someone being shot by a bandit and closing/barring a door shut behind them hoping to be able to hide and heal before the next volley of gunfire.

This has been the question and one of the easiest ways to get banned by an admin on any server on Arma 2 DayZ besides hacking of course. In order to prevent combat logging and abuse of the safely barricaded room Rocket could simply implement a few stipulations in the mechanic.
This would be just the basic structure of a door barricade and not something that would be a final product. Rocket has been great so far in dealing with the problems of the Arma 2 Dayz community and I would really like to see this or something similar in the Standalone release.
